18 July 2022 - Foundation work is about done. The fence on the left keeps construction traffic away from guest house (out of photo on the right).
18 July 2022 - The garage slab is poured and the stem walls erected.
18 July 2022 - The slab in front of the garage is tabby (concrete with shells embedded). There is a ledge around the perimeter for a brick border.
18 July 2022 - A “rat slab” has been poured under the house. The rat slab keeps rats, squirrels and other pests from getting under the house. The piers and walls are on a continuous footer.
18 July 2022 - The top row of blocks are poured solid to form a bond beam. Anchors are embedded in the bond beam to form a strong connection between the foundation and the home.
27 July 2022 - A crane is on site and lifting steel into place. The structure is taking shape.
27 July 2022 - There are two tall scissor lifts holding workers as they bolt the structure together.
