September 4 - Block work is done for the front patio. Each side will have steps where you can see the foundation. The blocks will be filled with packed dirt. A concrete slab will be poured on top. Then bricks will cover the top of the patio and steps.
September 6 - The patio block is in place. The inside is filled with packed fill material. Flashing will be placed next to the house and the slab will be poured this afternoon.
September 7 - Yesterday, the slab was poured. Brick laying began on the patio near the house and the outside wall.
September 7 - The herringbone pattern on the patio is clearly visible from the porch. The small triangular bricks around the edge will be laid in a day or so.

September 10 - More brick has been laid and the brick laid on Friday was grouted.

September 11 - The roof is finished for the house. The porches will be roofed when the exterior is stained. Notice the flashing around the chimney.
September 17 - The brick wall is being completed. It has to be filled and capped with stone. The far end is not finished. Steps will be built next.
September 17 - Here you can see the walls. It will be filled to make it solid. The steps have to be built. The deck is filled. the outside edge (right) needs grout still.
September 17 - The posts have straps to tie them down. The brick on the deck needs grout. Each end of the deck will have brick steps.
September 18 - Steps are built on the patio. They need to be grouted. Most of the patio has been grouted.
September 18 - The steps on the east side are finished. The wall needs a few more bricks. It will then be filled and capped with stone.
September 19 - The brickwork is finished. The wall needs to be filled and capped with stone. It is early morning although it looks dark.
September 19 - The brick patio looks very nice. It will have stones laid on top of the wall. Permanent posts will also be installed on the porch.
September 19 - The wall has a step at each end. It will have a blue stone laid on top of it. One of the porch post tie down straps is visible just to the right of the door.
September 27 - The porch roof is being installed. You can see the early morning mist over the cabin. The patio steps are also visible just to the left of the front door.
