June 18 - The den has been emptied in preparation for the remodel. Books, nick nacks and photos are safely stored. This white cupboard and shelf built in will be removed and replaced with a similiar one of heart pine.
June 18 - Although no work is to be done in the breakfast nook, it was emptied.
June 18 - The porch is basically empty. The far wall has had the trim and siding removed because the window will be removed and used on the bedroom addition. The door between the bedroom and porch will remain.
June 18 - This wall has had the casing and siding removed in preparation for removing the door and transom. It will be a solid wall covered with lap siding like the rest of the house.
June 22 - Outer walls are stripped down to the columns. We will put new (thinner) horizontal dividers between the posts and framing on the side of the posts to secure the windows. The decking has been removed from about half of the floor.
June 22 - The columns on each side of the door were also removed since the columns were notched for a 6ft 8in door and we are going back with an 8ft door. The decking on this side should be removed tomorrow.
