04 October 2022 - The dirt piles in the front yard have been spread to bring the ground level up in front of the house.
04 October 2022 - The next step is to have the plumber bury needed plumbing drain lines in the dirt before the slab is poured.
04 October 2022 - There have been visitors inspecting the site.
18 October 2022 - Plumbers are on site working. Here they have the locations of drain lines marked in blue paint.
18 October 2022 - Here they are trenching to bury the drain pipes in the main house. The group in the yellow vests are a group of “no cuts” workers. They mark where utilities are buried.
25 October 2022 - Forms are being built for the workshop slab. It will be poured when the house slabs are poured.
25 October 2022 - The plumbers are burying drain pipes (white pipes) in the fill. They will be covered with the concrete slab.
25 October 2022 - The buried supply (fresh water) line is pressurized to insure there are no leaks. The inspector will verify the lines hold pressure.
25 October 2022 - At a number of locations, fill dirt was removed. When the slab is poured, concrete will obviously be thicker in these areas. This is to increase the strength where loads on the floor are concentrated.
25 October 2022 - In the guest wing, pipes are buried, but not covered yet. The tall pipe (stand pipe) is filled with water to test the drain lines. If the standpipe water does not go down, the joints are tight.
25 October 2022 - The guest house also has drain lines buried and ready for inspection.
25 October 2022 - There is also a standpipe for the guest house to insure integrity of the drain system.
