October 1 - Painting began on the inside of the house today. Here you can see one wall lined with shelves for the built-ins. They are all primed now.
October 1 - Yet another wall of shelves. The small ones are for the shoe cubbies.

October 1 - The bookcases are primed, caulked and filled. They are ready for sanding and painting.
October 1 - This cabinet is also ready to be sanded and painted. There is a lot of work to caulk and fill everything to make it all finish perfectly.
October 1 - The back walls of the built-ins will also be painted the trim color. These cabinets will look great once they are finished being painted.

October 1 - The rescreening of the old porch began today. The new screen is barely visible. The panel ahead is screened but the one on the left is not.

October 1 - Only at an angle can you see the screen. This section was finished just in time to have the gutters reinstalled.

October 2 - More screening was installed today. Screening is slow going to make sure it looks good and is done right.
October 2 - We made it to the half-way point today. We have a little over one more days work to do to be finished.
October 2 - The low hanging island for the closet is now primed, puttied and ready to paint. All of the shelves are also sanded and ready to paint.

October 2 - The trim paint is scheduled to go on tomorrow. The backs of most of the built-ins will be trim color with only the main wall surfaces painted.

October 3 - The outside of the house looks very nice in the afternoon sun. You can see some of the screening in the distance that was installed today.

October 3 - The trim paint did, in fact, get finished today. It is an off-white color and looks really good. The foreground is the closet island.
October 3 - We used water-based low V.O.C. paint for the trim. The fumes will disipate quickly and be pleasant in time for the owners when they arrive.
October 5 - The painters are nearly finished inside now. This wall is where a window used to be. It has all but disappeared now.
October 5 - The wall painting is finished in the bedroom and all that remains is removing the masking and cleaning up.
October 5 - Here is the wall with the shoe cubbies. It is all painted now and ready for use. There should be plenty of room here for storage.

October 5 - These bookshelves are finished except for mounting their shelves. That will be done shortly.

October 5 - The porch floor has been all cleaned up and sanded and is ready for its paint tomorrow.
October 5 - The screen doors were reworked and remounted today. They now close nicely and look great.
October 5 - The door to the wheel chair lift is also reinstalled now. It was difficult to operate before but now operates very easily.
October 7 - Today the flooring had its final coat of finish applied. Here is the repair that was done and then refinished in the half-bath.

October 7 - The last of the porch screen lattice was finished today. The lights have also been remounted and all that is left is paint touchup.
October 7 - The shoe moulding on the back porch was also installed today. All that is left there is some paint touch up and we are ready to reload furniture.
October 9 - Today we worked on the last finishing touches to complete the project. The bedroom is all finished, cleaned and ready to furnish.

October 9 - Here is the toilet in the bathroom. It is wall hung so that it could be mounted extra high.

October 9 - The bed fits nicely on this wall and in the room with plenty of room to spare.
October 9 - The closet is all loaded with clothes, shoes and linens now. We are sure the arrangement will be tweaked later.
October 9 - The shoe cubbies work great! The shelves are adjustable so if more shelves or different spacing are needed it will be simple to do.
