October 5 - This is a view of the cottage roof from the deck of the garage. The posts in the foreground are for deck railings.
October 5 - The door hardware has been installed on the doors. Soon the house will have permanent power.
October 5 - Ceiling fans have been installed on the porch. Speakers (on the right) are also on the porch.
October 12 - The appliances are being installed. The dishwasher and refrigerators will receive panel fronts to match the cabinets.
October 16 - A brick walkway is being built between the cottage and garage. The pattern is basket weave. It will be grouted today.
October 16 - The walkway makes two turns to go from the garage to the house. You can clearly see where the grout ends. The grouting will be finished today.
October 18 - The LP gas tank is buried. It is on the south side of the house not far from the sewer grinder and pump. The gas has been hooked to cook top, water heater and gas logs.
October 22 - Plantation shutters have been installed in the house.
October 22 - The shower door has been installed in the master shower. They are a bit difficult to see since they are clear glass.
October 22 - The master bedroom cabinet is being built. It will have space to hang clothes and shelves for other items. The cabinet will be painted.
October 22 - This is the hallway to the master bedroom. The first door is a closet. The double doors open to the electrical panel and washer and dryer.
October 22 - The stove top blower has been connected to the exhaust pipe.
October 22 - The gas logs are installed and plumbed. Their color is a bit washed out by the flash. Within a few days, the mantle will be installed.
October 31 - The fireplace mantle is being built in place. It will be finished in the next few days.
October 31 - Door hardware is on. Carpet is down. The house is ready for a Certificate of Occupancy inspection.
October 31 - The built in cabinet is nearly complete. It will be painted in the next day or so. The upper center section has 'hidden doors' (doors that open and then slide back into pockets).
