01 November 2022 - Walls are going up. The sheathing on the lower part of the walls is pressure treated.
01 November 2022 - A good bit of the house has the exterior (and some interior) walls framed.
01 November 2022 - TJIs (basically wood I beams) are in place for the back porch.
01 November 2022 - This is the view from the edge of the water. This is going to be a big house.
01 November 2022 - There is a concrete “rat slab” under the home to keep burrowing creatures out.
08 November 2022 - Steel plates are on site. These will probably be used for fletch beams (steel reinforced wood beams).
08 November 2022 - Framing on the interior walls is continuing.
08 November 2022 - The framing mates with the steel columns and beams.
08 November 2022 - This is the view from the rear of the house. The rear porch is not decked yet.
08 November 2022 - The steel structure is being held plumb by the temporary angle welded to the column. If you look closely, you can also see a strap holding the far column vertical.
14 November 2022 - Framers are finishing up the first floor in preparation for second floor joists.
14 November 2022 - Walls are held plumb by the diagonal bracing until the sheathing is installed.
23 November 2022 - Another truck load of framing materials arrived.
23 November 2022 - The carpenter is trimming open web floor trusses in preparation for installing them.
23 November 2022 - The garage framing has begun.
23 November 2022 - More work is being done on the main house framing.
29 November 2022 - Framing continues. More sheathing is in place. Plenty of framing material is on site.
29 November 2022 - The garage framing is progressing.
