November 1 - As soon as the tile setter lays a few more tile in this shower, the tile work in the guest house will be finished. He should be finished before noon today.
November 1 - The painters have primed most of the sheet rock in the main house. They have another few hours to finish.
November 1 - The HVAC tech set and connected the condensing units in the south service yard. They will be started when power gets run to them (this week).
November 1 - The garage interior paint will be complete today (except for the floor). Garage auto bay doors are scheduled for installation tomorrow (Friday, November 2).
November 1 - The north service has the third main house condensing unit for the HVAC system. It is connected and charged, but waiting for power to be started. Power should be connected by the end of the week.
November 1 - The planter has a brick veneer. It will have a double wide row lock on the top so it will be about 4in higher than it is now.
November 1 - One set of brick steps is being built. The step treads will be brick and the risers will be stucco. There is a second set of steps on the other side of the planter. Lintels are here for the house doors and windows. We are waiting on a lintel for the planter on the house side. It should be here in a few days.
November 2 - The garage doors are installed. The weather stripping and the trim (hinges and handles) have not been installed yet. They will be installed after the doors are painted black.
November 5 - The brick wing walls are up. The wall between them (with the foam insulation) will be covered with brick also. The duct is for the range hood.
November 5 - Masons are working on the rear brick steps. The gray flex pipe and boxes are for step lights. These steps are wide so they will have two lights on each step.
November 5 - The gray conduit to the lights goes to the crawlspace so if there is a problem, a new wire can be run. The void at the bottom of the photo will be a planter.
November 7 - The rear steps are being bricked. There will be a patio at the foot of the steps.
November 7 - Some interior walls are being covered with 1x8 pine boards. They will be painted.
November 8 - The tile setter is prepping the small north front porch for slate.
November 8 - Reclaimed oak flooring has arrived for the guest house. It will be lightly stained.
November 9 - The flooring is down in the guest house. It will be lightly sanded and lightly stained before sealing.
November 9 - The east wall of the kitchen was slightly modified for reclaimed wood shelves. The backs will be sheet rock.
November 9 - The north rear steps are now laid. They have lights also.

November 14 - The steps on the north small porch have been laid and are being grouted. You can see the step light boxes if you look closely.

November 14 - The front porch bricks are complete. The windows and doors have soldiers over them. The wood on the front door is a place holder for powder coated aluminum trim.

November 14 - Brickwork on the rear wall of the house is complete. The trim board at the top of the bricks will be painted to match the trim.

November 14 - The south vestibule hallway has wood on it. The south porch and steps are through the door at the far end of the hallway.
November 14 - This is a mock up of crown. It is a bit larger than the crown suggested by the home owner. It will be reviewed when the home owner is on site and a decision will be made. A detailed photo is next.

November 14 - The two places on the front where water collects have been pumped dry (just in time for another rain shower). They will be pumped tomorrow. When the blocks are dry, waterproofing will be put on them and fill dirt spread so this area does not collect water.
November 14 - The planter in the rear has a brick cap. Grouting has not been done yet. The porch deck (on the left of the photo) will have a slate covering.
November 15 - The guest house steps and border have been laid and grouted. They are complete.

November 15 - The south gallery is paneled with wood. The bottom board will be cut. It was installed like that to insure the wood on both sides was level.
November 15 - The hearth foundation has been built. It will be covered with shells on the sides to match the chimney and have a quartz material on the surface.

November 27 - The waste line from the south (master) end of the house is connected to a clean out and piped to the pump near the north side of the front porch.
November 27 - The trim above the windows on the south (and north) vestibules has been adjusted pursuant to input from the architects.
November 28 - The waste lines connect both lines from the main house and the guest house line to the pump tank. The pump tank output is routed to the sewer connection near the road.
November 28 - The waste lines run in front of the house. This is the line from the south waste line of the main house to the pump tank.
November 28 - The rafters in the great room were strengthened to support the weight of the reclaimed beams. The speaker mounting flange was moved to clear the beams.
November 28 - The rafters have LVLs applied to the sides of them to make sure the weight of the beams is well supported.
November 28 - The pump tank is on site and ready for installation. The green cover will be at ground level for access if necessary.
November 28 - Trim carpenters are preparing to put vertical boards on the walls.
November 29 - The plumbers are installing a pump tank to pump waste water to the sewer connection at the street. Waste water flows by gravity from the house and guest house to the pump tank where it is pumped to the sewer tap.
November 29 - The rafter reinforcement is complete. Reclaimed beams will be installed in the next few days.
November 29 - The outdoor kitchen tile is going down. This is 24in x 24in slate. It is going over a crack suppressant material.
November 29 - The vestibule is being prepped for vertical boards.
November 29 - The master shower is being prepped for tile. This will be a steam shower, so it will have tile on the ceiling also.
November 30 - The pump tank is in place and being covered with dirt. The dirt will be about a foot higher near the pump when the final landscaping is done.
