02 August 2022 - Most of the sheet rock has been hung. Supplies (“mud” and tape) are in the garage ready for the finishers.
02 August 2022 - The back porches are being trimmed.
02 August 2022 - Inside, most of the sheet rock is ready to finish (cover the joints with paper tape and “mud” so they are not visible).
02 August 2022 - The walls are ready to finish. The ceiling will be covered with wood.
02 August 2022 - Several of the gables have windows in them which are beautiful.
02 August 2022 - The fireplaces are Isokerns. By using them, the fireplace is guaranteed to work well. It will be covered and have a hearth. Notice the brick on the chimney starts on the brick ledge.
02 August 2022 - The AV and Security rough in wiring is in place.
02 August 2022 - There is another Isokern fireplace inside. This one has a brick surround in place.
09 August 2022 - It is easy to see where the sheetrock joints are as well as the attaching screws.
09 August 2022 - The sheetrock is being finished. Once the spackling sets, it will be sanded.
09 August 2022 - The back porch decking is in place.
09 August 2022 - The sheetrock has been “mudded.” Next comes sanding once the spackling (“mud”) dries. Some rooms require a scaffold to reach the ceiling.
09 August 2022 - The porch off the master suite had decking on it. It is temporarily covered with plywood for protection.
16 August 2022 - Copper flashing is being used on the exterior. The trim is being installed on the back porch.
16 August 2022 - The deck on the water side of the master end of the house looks very nice.
16 August 2022 - This amazing door joins in the corner. Both sides open.
16 August 2022 - The front porch on the master end is being trimmed also.
23 August 2022 - A temporary air conditioner is being connected so it can begin to condition the Main House.
23 August 2022 - The master porch trim is finished except for paint.
23 August 2022 - Some trim work remains to be done on the back porch.
23 August 2022 - Temporary power is being fed into conduit that connects to the main breaker panels.
30 August 2022 - The glass gables give the home a distinctive look.
30 August 2022 - The mahogany screen doors have been taken down for finishing.
30 August 2022 - The inside is spacious The open walls will have wood covering them.
30 August 2022 - The temporary AC unit is operational. It will dehumidify and condition the home.
